FfFfFfFF 58,112 Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 (edited) Romania's National Forest Administration announces an absolute premiere for biodiversity conservation in Romania: the reintroduction of the moose (Alces alces) into its historical habitat. Four moose specimens have recently arrived in Vânători Neamț Natural Park, marking the species’ official return to Romania’s forests after an absence of over two centuries. The four animals—one male and three females—come from specialized centers in Germany, France, and Switzerland, having been carefully selected to ensure optimal adaptation to their new environment. This initiative is part of the strategic project “Land of the Bison: conservation, education, and tourism in Vânători Neamț Natural Park,” launched by the park administration and implemented in partnership with the Ecotourism Association of Romania (AER), ACDB, and the Mioritics Association.
