I think my personal breaking point came when they insulted someone who was a mod at the time. Then I joined the half of the mod team that was sick of them and said "boot 'em, we tried, there is no winning".

Like, I also remember the allegations of us "silencing" them when we literally made one a CC member, a staff position, and gave him a featured thread on the front page of the forums to "educate GGD" however he saw fit. We literally couldn't have amplified buddy's voice any more without giving him control of the social media accounts and even gold mods don't have access to those  

And the fallout was so stupid and childish. People at the time just wanted to be angry at "the institution". Anyone with an iota of power, or perceived power, was an enemy and that even extended to forum staff of a Lady Gaga fansite. There's nothing we could have done that would have made them happy other than straight up modding them and letting them ban anyone and everyone they saw fit and word through the grapevine is they couldn't even stay mods on that new site.

Know what, I'm getting mad all over again, lemme stop, it's been almost 6 years  

A lot of people have asked to come back and while I never had an issue with someone being on both sites, 'cause I even had friends that migrated over there, I vehemently disagreed with anyone who was banned in that period coming back and I stand by that still.

I also took a months long break from GGD after it settled down 'cause I admit I was rattled and it was a dark time for all of us  Trump, covid, BLM, and a lot of personal trials. I deadass was a day or two from 🤪👈 myself but @ChicaSkas left me a voicemail one day asking how I was and saying everyone missed me so I logged back in and I've been back ever since

 @SharkmanthaC's Celebrity Colors must be included for canonical purposes as it resulted in bans, warnings, people becoming cc's and me becoming a mod.

That being said, we need at least a mini montage of the jill revolution when there was a (light-hearted) civil war between regular GGD members and GGD staff started by yours truly.

The initial title of the thread was something like “Montana (Gaga dancer) shades Richy” and we all expected a cute subtle shade, only to hear her say “I won’t do the Chromatica Ball because Richy is a horrible person to work for”  what a time to be alive
