I hear the song as Gaga/Mother Mayhem singing to Stefani….. Stefani carries the weight of past wounds, memories, anxiety and emotional scars that don’t fully fade, her ‘disease’. Gaga emerges as a powerful being, stepping in with promise of control, escape and relief, as an antidote to that inner chaotic poison. however the offer of this cure isn’t pure, it’s seductive and consuming, blurring the line between healing and dependency.
