FfFfFfFF 58,118 Posted April 25 Share Posted April 25 (edited) A Russian drone crashed in a residential area of Galați, Romania, and authorities later confirmed it was carrying an explosive payload. To prevent any danger, authorities evacuated 535 people in total, about 220 residents near the crash site, another 315 people along the route used to transport the drone fragments. The area around the crash was secured, and no injuries were reported. Specialized teams collected the drone fragments and transported them to a safe location, where the explosive charge was detonated in a controlled manner. This drone alone is not enough for any susbtantial damage, so it's either 1) accidental, - this incursion happened, as Reni across the Danube was also targeted last night; 2) Russia wants to discreetly test the waters to see if its drones can reach major Romanian cities, and what measures are taken (bad news: no measures will be taken ). Russia does not have nearly as much influence to be on the level of the U.S, America is an infinitely more immediate threat. The collapse of the soviet union and with it, the horrible free market reforms to Russia's economy in the 90's (both spearheaded by America and it's allies) is what created the conditions for Putin to rise to power and prominence. Hate Putin all you want, and I certainly do, but it's the failure of the west that he even has the power he does.
