Oriane 22,344
Born this way has a lot of metaphorical/poetic/abstract lyrics, which speaks more to me, so I voted for that. chronic 365
I’m voting TFM only because I consider it as her (continued) debut. To release an album with SHICD, Alejandro, Speechless, Teeth so early in your career is insane. Not taking away from those that followed (except Mayhem ). 1 1 1

Ladle Ghoulash 45,266
People who are saying the lyrics on MAYHEM are bad are acting like the only thing that makes good lyricism is whether or not they function as poetry when stripped of music, when I think the function of a good lyric can also be: do they set a scene? Do they establish a vibe? Are they well-utilized by the music (ie to they give the music a solid springboard to evoke a potent feeling)? And imo, MAYHEM’s absolutely hit those marks.
