If there is no Gaga the list is rigged

Don't hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you're set

Gaga's being big as streaming artist is very recent tbh

Hopefully LG8 will be another streaming hit album

Hopefully but Gagas first major career peak missed the streaming era so she will probably never be among the very top unfortunately

Her rankings will average better in SPS sales

Her biggest streak of hits from 2009 to 2011 literally missed the streaming era. From Just Dance to You And I it was mainly digital sales not streaming. Thats 11 top 10 hits that missed the streaming era

Streaming tecunically already existed but digital sales (via platforms like Itunes) were still the majority of sales activity

Tho Gaga has remained relevant overall after Born This Way in 2011, shes only had a handful of bigger hits since then spreadout between different eras

We should not be surprised shes not near the top when the biggest chunck of her singles success happened outside of streaming era

Fortunately, single sales still count for SPS and thats a more fair way to compare artists across different eras (or at least as fair as a comparison can be)

Some of these correlations aren’t correlating, how can you be in the top artists but not have one of the top 20 songs of all time because in theory based on streams it’d make the album AND the artist big.

So in theory Abel, Billie & Gaga should be the top 3 with Table Stiff at #4 or 5. And Mayhem should be in the albums then if DWAS is in the top 20 of all time and the only female artist as well

I think we forget that Gaga is the only old school pop diva (who hasn’t been marketed to a younger audience through re-releases) who’s lucky enough to actually have the big 3 achievements she has #1 high selling albums still, hit singles including #1s and sold out tours. Not even Beyoncé is still doing that she only has albums and tours really

Insane to see that Adele and Rolling In The Deep are not there but did amazing when you actually had to purchase music. Streaming really had it’s time to come and take over and y’all should not be taking these numbers that personal.

Gaga became a streaming powerhouse just lately or at least started out late than these artists. Mind you, there was one point where her biggest Spotify song was The Cure :enigma:
