However, she’s not the only legendary chanteuse seeking to reclaim the dancefloor. Liza Minelli, the octogenarian triple threat, makes a massive leap towards the club with her new single, “Kids, Wait Til You Head This,” a heartfelt, spoken confessional dance track. “Making people happy,” Liza coos, “that’s what it’s all about” as synths and programmed drums oscillate around her. A vocal and a setting so evocative one can almost taste and smell the poppers. Is Liza’s rise and return to the club, like a Broadway belting Lady Godiva riding in on a sterling white stallion, a threat to Madonna’s return to form? Or am I losing…my mind?
