When you're an artist you are supposed to have more critical skills about art. But it still, has a very bad connotation. Nazis used to call Jewish people's art "degenerate". And it was a way for them to deshumanize them. Because if you call it "weird" you imply that it lacks of humanity, familiarity in it. Nazis used to make whole expositions of "Degenerate arts" to humiliate Jews...

I have from an Iraqi-Jewish Israeli family and this sound is not only familiar to me, my mom always did it at parties, wedding, etc.

And I'm not offended by Sabrina.

It's an unusual sound.

 

And more than that, as an autistic person, I know how it is when a sound is disturbing, how irritating it can be and sometimes how lost you can be.

 

Like honestly, stop judging people, can u guys see beyond the "offending"?

Do you think its appropriate to interrupt another perforer with your own traditional music though? That's what this comes down to.

Its no different to the people who turn up at gigs and sing loudly/shout/cheer etc and disturb others around them and sometimes even the artist (like in this instance). No one is there to see/hear you.

I said that she shouldn't be cancelled because it's a small mistake, but we shouldn't normalizing mocking ppl's cultures. Especially in this fascist era of History.

I see more and more white supremacist bs impregnating the minds of normies. Especially with all the disgusting antisemitic and racists memes around weird esoteric beliefs such as hyperboreans... I mean I'm a Middle-Eastern too and I think there is more and more hatred toward our cultures and people.

That's true but the reaction of Sab wasn't appropriate too. Again I don't say "She's a racist !! She should be cancelled !". She's just ignorant. And the fan playing it's music, is not respectful toward the artist and the other fans.

It's like that time when someone threw something at Sabrina, and then she throwed it back on someone else. No one was injuried, but it's absurd on both side. Because it's not very self-aware of the conscequences.
