As someone who likes this song: I’ve never really understood the argument that fan bases need to organize and artificially inflate the streams on a track. Either people like it or they don’t, either they stream it or they won’t. There’s no obligation to farm streams or whatever.

It's a fine song, but just watch there be an absolute smash on Gaga's EP and it not be the main/promoted song lol

Also, it is a MOVIE song and promoted as such. No movie song rockets to the top of the charts... the 2 Barbie songs barely made the Top 10 and that was for a movie as big as Barbie.

The only exception is KPop Demon Hunters, but that is a complete outlier. Shallow took many months to reach #1.

That’s a very sad way to look at how fan should behave. Lets not even talk about her, don’t listen to her music, don’t attend her concerts, dont buy her records…? She will be very happy about it indeed lol. Don’t you think if she sees that she is successful and beloved she would make even more music and we would have more content to enjoy? Just look at how active she is since DWAS. Common sense that we should try to make her happy and yes that includes listen to her new single as many times as possible and even purchase if you can afford. Every fanbase inflates numbers so if the monsters are the only ones who dont care about her stuff than obviously she is at a disadvantage. Dont you think? Obligation is a strong word but its not like you have to pay more for playing a couple more times on your Spotify than you would normally do. Also women are at a disadvantage in the music industry she deserves as much help as she can get to help her to get her music out there and a proper fanbase should try to do more than just listening once or twice. 
 

I never understood the disgusting way some of her fans behaved when she released jazz stuff but she literally made this for the gays so I dont understand why there’s no support.

Yeah, that’s gonna be a no from me. I love her down, but I don’t have that level of parasocial attachment to her. The music succeeds or it doesn’t, I like it or I don’t, point blank.

I listened to the song a few times, I like it, and a fan made an extended version so I've been listening to that instead when I want a hit of the c*nty Runway track.

But I also have a 45hr/week job and audiobooks to listen to and thousands of other artists to stream on Spotify  

The last time I was one of these "buy one, buy two, but what you should really do is buy 20" stans was Joanne when I was practically giving out copies of the album to everyone I knew.

Gaga's a billionaire, she'll be fine.

Also, Ladle was definitely talking specifically about farming streams for her music specifically. We all still buy the records and go to the shows, we just have lives outside of keeping her latest release on repeat.
