If Katy Perry were smart..

..she would sit back from the mess she's made, constantly struggling and scraping her nails against the pavement trying to find success in pop music, with a desperation that the public can smell a mile away.. and would go back to her singer/songwriter roots. I honestly think this would be a career move that would completely turn the tides in her favour

This song went viral last year and has been doing the rounds ever since, and every single time I see a TikTok with this sound the comments say "I wish she would go back to writing music like this"

 

And honestly, it's good. It's refreshing. Why can't her or her team ever listen to what's going on and take direction?

But of course she fumbled this viral moment too.. mocking the song and saying "I don't sing like that!", unable to laugh at the joke and again taking herself too seriously, rather than going with the moment and riding the wave. If she laughed about it and threw it on her setlist, and performed it seriously, she could've had a revival hit like Bloody Mary was for Gaga

 

KATY, if by some divine intervention this makes it's way to you, we want to see your true, vulnerable side again. Heartfelt music that we know you can still make.  Even your 'authentic' side feels manufactured these days. Strip it all back, go with your heart, and sit in a room alone with the guitar and a notepad. There's still time

Nothing She Will do Will work.

Shes tried this with daisies. She tried changing the sound with rise, never really over,  now bandaids. Even harleys in Hawaii She tried something different. 

Nothing sticks, and hasnt for a while. Collabs flopped, new genres. And new approaches tò presentation.

If Remember well She wrote thinking of you herself. Even if can create songs like that, ill be difficult tò sell them, or let the label invest. And She won't be the First tò recieve the demos considered hits..

She could've gone through a Florence + The Machine route but instead went full Taylor Swift, heartless and unlisteningable... funny if not sad

I am not sure how she will comeback from the last album, (143), catastrophe, that is very much like career ending fumble imho, especially that's like her 3rd or something major flop.

She didn't care enough to quickly do course correction after the first flop, and never did after the next one either.

And as of recent, she doesn't seem to learn anything when he decides to hung out with a MAGA supporter, Jake Paul, then play victim on a Q&A with her fan.

At this point, I don't think she cares. She have her millions and probably decided to be out of touch about it.
