People from many different civil rights backgrounds joined forces to make this happen. LGBTQ+ groups, anti-racist groups, pro-Palestinian, etc. The ideas for a protest like this originated as a response to far-right pundit Tommy Robinson leading his own version of Mussolinis 1922 blackshirt march (minus the coup attempt) in September 2025, which is something he plans to repeat again this coming May.
