Like I said in a previous comment that’s because she re-released her albums as re-recordings so to them it’s “new” music just like how older songs blow up on TikTok.

It’s also why I don’t think in actuality she’s remotely close to Whitney or Celine (never mind Madonna) in sales if you take out the inflated sales/streams from her re-recordings. Her sales drop by like almost good 10-15%

They aren’t allegations though she got added to the official credits of the song as a songwriter because of it despite never writing a single word of it. You can be friends with someone even after a spat (look at Gaga and Madonna).

Also to answer the other reply in the thread above, it IS cheating the system because her constant releasing of variants with little to no variation other than a single damn voice note (which is what it ended up as after she ran out of fully produced demos to add to the other variations), so much so Billboard had to change their rules after TTPD basically scammed it’s way through multiple sales boosts for weeks.

I think both of them will be regarded as legends in the end. Wether most of ya'll don't like it, Taylor has her creative talents and Gaga has hers. 

The ever discussions regarding variants are tired though.

I wouldn't actually call it hate.

But it's true that, of all the reasons we love Gaga, not many of them apply to TS.

Plus, the way some people constantly feel the need to force her presence on this site and drawing comparisons with Gaga is pretty annoying.

It is a valid criticism though, because variants is how she has gotten most of her sales boosts for her new material post Lover and it got to the point Billboard had to change their rules so she changed how her variants worked to get around the rules.
 

Her sales are also majorly inflated because of streaming (Madonna’s numbers haven’t been updated from about 300m since the early days of streaming they’re probably closer to 400m now and were based on pure sales, they’ll probably be massively updated once her new album comes out) And because she released re-recorded albums.

She’s released TEN albums since 2020. Only 4 of those were new albums. Most of which were just her spam releasing re-recordings and variants that gained her cheese sales and popularity.
