I think Madonna is not the queen of pop, because "pop" always excluded black artists but when you don't, artists like Janet are miles away better than Madonna, if by their creativity, vocals, impact, fashion, dance and performances. And I do love Madonna, I just feel now, many years later, that some of her music is not so groundbreaking.. like her most daring bodies of work are ROL and Erotica.. and even Erotica, from music pov was just another pop album.
