I try to sell myself, but I am really laughing

Because I just love the music, not the bling…..

Music, not the bling….

She actually has too many iconic bridges to pick a favorite but I felt like giving ARTPOP’s bridge some love!

Who else would write “bluffin with my muffin”?

Or “Uranus, don’t you know my ass is famous!!!”
Or “I’ll make you squeal baby… As long as you pay me!”

There are a lot of them actually

Bad Romance for me…

Judas, Born This Way, Marry The Night, Dance In the Dark, Abracadabra, 1000 Doves (the bridge is great I’m sorry), Poker Face, G.U.Y., Perfect Illusion, etc. are some other 10/10 bridges though

Even though I have a BTW-bias and it absolutely has my favorite lyrics out of all albums, TFM takes the cake for me.

My first thought?

Monster. Add Bad Romance and Dance in the Dark to that mix. Unbeatable:worship2:

...has anybody seen my disco stick?

To answer the poll, I feel like the most iconic Gaga bridges are in Mayhem :teehee:

That album is ABUNDANT with incredible bridges. They feel good to listen to and add something to a song, because in my opinion some bridges add nothing to a song other than extending the runtime and they don’t feel that good to listen to, especially if the rest of the song is nothing special or just fine. The song that’s guilty of this from Mayhem for example is Garden Of Eden. I think that song is fine, but it didn’t need another pre-chorus to be belted as a bridge. If I had to give another answer to the poll, It'd be ARTPOP.

To answer the question, there are definitely a lot of songs to choose from, but I would probably land on G.U.Y as the best bridge.

EDIT: I thought about this post for a good minute, and my answer already changed atleast 10 times. I just can’t make up my mind. Sigh.

Thank you for your reply! English is not my mother tongue, so please be aware that I might have misunderstood some parts of your response.

Anyway, I think I actually answered the question incorrectly. I gave an answer to the question “Gaga’s best song bridges in your opinion” rather than iconic bridges. Iconic means something emblematic of a genre or era, widely recognized and admired, and considered representative of that genre or era. It refers to something renowned, legendary, or classic that holds enduring and symbolic significance.

The best bridges from Mayhem are from one of these songs: Abracadabra, Perfect Celebrity, Killah, Don’t Call Tonight, or The Beast. There are good bridges in other songs from Mayhem, but if we are talking about the very best ones, it is definitely one of these, subjectively.

The most iconic bridges are probably from one of these songs, though I might be missing one or two: Bad Romance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Just Dance, Born This Way, or Judas.

I actually don’t know what makes or breaks a bridge for me. I just can’t put it into words, and there isn’t really a clear metric for it. It’s about the overall musical and lyrical experience, but it doesn’t always have to be consistent.

For example, Garden of Eden is a fine song in my opinion, but the bridge is bad because it drags on a decent song with what feels like another pre-chorus lyrically, and I don’t enjoy the musical experience in that part. It takes away rather than adding something.

But in The Beast, she can repeat a line from a verse four times and I’m instantly hooked. The way the song builds up, the way she delivers the lines, the outcome, and the way the song has been progressing up to that point all come together to make a great bridge. It’s a strong musical and lyrical experience. It doesn’t feel like it’s dragging. I actually look forward to that moment while listening to it, and I can’t say the same about Bloody Mary’s bridge going “dum dum da di da” or whatever.

I still feel like I haven’t made myself very clear. I can’t fully explain it, but I know how I feel.

I think for her as a pop cultural icon, it’s Shallow’s, Bad Romance’s, and Pokerface’s. For fans I would add The Queen and HML.
