Yeah, it’s basically a non-issue no matter which way you slice it. I genuinely cannot imagine having the bandwidth to be invested in this lol

For the life of me I can't understand why we are still stuck on this days and days later with everything going on at the moment. I don't even get why this has lasted for more than an evening. Even IF it was her security and she did tell him to do it.

why did this become such a major hot topic in pop culture / celeb adjacent discussion places? I really don't get it.

Just because it’s a pop forum doesn’t mean every minor scandal warrants as much energy as people have thrown into this lol

Well look at this weeks trending topics on here.  I guess it does . So what .  Clearly we’re all bored enough to engage in this topic regardless our stance on it

You’re allowed to pour as much energy as you want into it and I can still think it’s silly to get whipped into a frenzy about it. Not that big of a deal either way.

I meant in general and not just on here, but also? Yes. Let's discuss: blade or no blade?

Exactly this. People are gonna talk about it nevertheless. It may seem like people are making this a big issue, but let’s also consider that from around 60 comments made under this post, most are unique individuals who just text what they want to for a second and go on about their day.

I actually would comment more about this, but I really don’t think it’s necessary, not because it’s a minor scandal or whatever, but because Chappel is gonna flop and the signs are there, so I’m not bothered.

So interesting that the one time there's a story about an unrelated security guard doing this, it's precisely for the one celebrity who is known for this behavior towards paparazzi and fans.

Well at least in the past she's fully owned every opinion and action even if she doubled down on them.

Yeah it's terrible. The little girl didn't even misbehave, she just passed by her table and smiled. I would be displeased even if Lady Gaga did it to me or my child. I don't think Chappell herself is wrong here, it's the bodyguard's fault, but if she herself did that then it's something else.

What 11 year olds are as slick as they think they are? Especially when their side of the story says she wanted to confirm it was really Chappell? I could imagine that even if this was her security and she knew of the incident, there was a little more to it than just politely walking by, glancing, and smiling.

Aside from all of this, nobody has addressed that Chappell is a prime target for a smear campaign. Supporting Palestine, simply being a lesbian, being outspoken about leaving her management team because it's founder's affiliation with Epstein. And now that they're finding 23% of all posts regarding the controversy were made by bots that included further misinformation. It's all just really fishy.

So you're blaming the child by your own assumptions. You can defend your favourite artist without invalidating the uncomfortable experience of the child.

This incident has nothing to do with any of these. People in GagaDaily also support Palestine, LGBTQ rights, and had criticized Epstein and Trump. If it's only the security's fault, good for her.

You've never worked a hospitality job where you have to deal with children with rich parents have you?

Yes I have. Some children were good. Some children were annoying. But I won't judge a 11 year old girl for simply walking across a table and smiled when there is absolutely no other complaint against her from the other party and the security had apologised for it. Anyone who's blaming her is just doing it out of their own assumptions that she's "naughty 11 year old", she's a "rich kid" etc.

Where did I say it's the child's fault? I said that children act like children. They're not slick, they're obvious even when they think they're not. That's normal. At the end of the day it is up to the parents to parent their child. Assumptions on this forum are really funny because I don't even like Chappell, I can just understand that celebrities are people and deserve their privacy.

Her outspoken support for Palestine, LGBTQ, and her criticisms for Epstein are likely to make her a target for smear campaigns that involve false allegations and exaggerated situations. It's funny how quickly the controversy spread but then the fact that a LOT of the engagement came from bots is very quiet. Last I checked, no users on here have millions of followers and jobs that hinge on public opinion, your point is moot. I feel like I'm getting Punk'd because there's absolutely no way I'm having to highlight how my argument is relevant to a topic again.

I never judged her anywhere. Children are allowed to be children. She also never spoke for herself, the interaction was shared on behalf of her by her mom, who then had it shared by her husband.
