Taylor cannot sing in a live setting and I stand by that, she’s good for a sit with my guitar in a quiet coffee shop corner but not “dancing” and doing theatrical shows in front of thousands of paying people. idk. You don’t have to like her but to zendaya’s point, someone acting like they don’t know a single song or understand why someone would like her is odd to me. And remember that Zendaya is speaking as a Black woman and Beyonce has had an even more pronounced presence in the Black community than white. But all the same, It’s very obvious why she’s well liked lol she sings beautifully, has a long catalog of catchy songs, is beautiful, great performer. If it’s not your thing, okay sure, but like…i don’t know what’s hard to understand?

2bh her level of hype should go to Florence, Aurora and Gaga :p like yea she has a gorge voice and preforms well, but outside of most of Renaissance and CC I can't say I enjoy her music.

In both cases, even if you don't like their music, if you think abojt it for 10 seconds you SHOULD understand the hype.

And conversely, many say they hate Renaissance in favor of the older work. That’s why she’s an enduring focus of the industry; something for everyone at some point or another !

The people who are so quick to be like "she has a million writers!!!!!" are really dense tbh. You watch any of her docs, listen to interviews w collaborators, it is very clear how hands-on she is.  She's literally notorious for having archives on archives of beats, samples, etc. from decades ago that she'll pluck for current music. She spends days perfecting the f*cking lights lol. Like yes she has a big team, but everything she's released and performed from the past 10+ years is from her.

Idk I think some pop fans just still want to pit the girls against each other, but fighting against Bey is like fighting with the wall imo, and you're missing out
