Her husband has come out and said he's not MAGA btw.

MAGA or not, he still reposted transphobic garbage, which still deserves some amount of attention.

Hey Ariana, what's MJ? https://youtu.be/xF-XLOYVrUw?si=T9TAr6-HLD_ZWmUy

Lana’s blowing it way out of proportion lmao. Like what did Ethel even to do her? If anything, Lana’s the one weirdly overly invested in this whole thing

Mte it’s a common drag brunch theme like you don’t see people whining about Katy v Gaga or Nicki v Cardi brunches (although thankfully now the latter is mostly Doja v Cardi because thank god)

So Ethel used to be an edge Lord, whatever. Lana has been equally "edgy" towards others before as well.

She literally glorified domestic abuse and toxic relationships as her thing for multiple albums like…

MAGA or not he’s still a transphobe and she’s literally a racist dumb b*tch to put it politely. Her question for the culture post alone lets you know that.

Both their music is an absolute snooze fest anyway but older stars just hate youth, thank god Gaga is a lead by example type of artist.

I mean her albums were charting a narrative gothic horror kind of storyline. They weren’t “glorifying” abuse.

"Gaga is a lead by example type of artist" yet you may have the least Kindness Punk post on this thread

Ariana and Camila are not black lol. And she’s allowed to hold the opinion that modern music is too sexual.

She’s still a moron for acting like she hasn’t built a career of also talking about sex, violence and older man. Lana is the epitome of a pick me and an embarrassment to womanhood

I think everyone is getting QFTC wrong. She clearly says she talked about these topics at the beginning of her career. But she did it in her way that she was criticized for it. Then she says “nowadays this, this and this women artists can talk about these topics, so can you also let me do that.”

She was being questioned for glamorizing abuse and she didn’t want to address that, she just deflected and acted like she was being questioned for being sexual.

She adresses that just in second sentence

“…can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautitul by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money - or whatever I want -without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing abuse?????? Im fed up with female writers and alt singers saying that I glamorize abuse when in reality I'm just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world. With all of the topics women are finally allowed to explore I just want to say over the last ten years I think it's pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say Ive set women back hundreds of years. Let this be clear, I'm not not a feminist - but there has to be a place in feminism for women who look and act like me - the kind of woman who says no but men hear yes- the kind of women who are slated mercilessly for being their authentic, delicate selves, The kind of women who get their own stories and voices taken away from them by stronger women or by men who hate women.”

What was the point of her bringing up other female artists that are literally criticized for the exact same thing?

she was acting like they don’t get any negative feedback while literally all those women probably get worse treatment specifically the women of color she mentioned

I think she responded that in her second post

"A couple of final notes on my "controversial post" that's not controversial at all. Despite the feedback I've heard from several people that I mentioned in a complimentary way, whether it be Ariana or Doja Cat - I want to say that I remain firm in my clarity and stance in that what I was writing about was the importance of self advocacy for the more delicate and often dismissed, softer female personality, and that there does have to be room for that type in what will inevitably become a new wave/3rd wave of feminism that is rapidly approaching. Watch!

Perhaps I could' ve given more context to my post by mentioning the title of the second book that would be out next March called 'behind the iron gates- insights from an institution'

I'm sorry that the folks who I can only assume are super trump/ pence supporters or hyper liberals or flip-flopping headline grabbing critics can't read and want to make it a race war, when in fact the issue was with *female critics and *female alternative artists who are dissociated from their own fragility and sexuality and berate more sexually liberated artists like
myself and the women i mentioned.

But in truth making it about race says so much more about you than it does about me -you want the drama, you don't want to believe that a woman could be beautiful, strong and fragile at the same time, loving and all inclusive by making personal reparations simply for the joy of doing it it. Nothing new here in your reaction. Same as ten years ago when a million think pieces came out about me feigning emotional fragility or lying about coming from no money when that was the truth.

My aim and my message are clear. That I have control of my own story. If the women I mention don't wanna be associated with me that's absolutely fine by me."
