But she was sitting right there? The kid walked past her, smiled, then went back to her table with her mom. Chappel could have told her security to leave it be since the girl already walked away. It just seems so unnecessary.

This is most terrible mistake Gaga has done in her career but it takes a lot of guts to own up to her mistakes. She apologized for having a poor judgement and removed DWUW from streaming services.

Will Chappell Roan own upto her mistake like Gaga and apologize to the little girl for letting her security guard harass her? As you said it's not really a grave mistake as collaborating with R Kelly so an apology won't hurt her.

When someone calls her a “d1ckhead” is because of their behavior towards other people, Chappel is RUDE with people and she’s not wrong to set her boundaries or even be rude with paparazzi and crazy fans. But in this situation, we’re talking about an 11-year-old little girl who (as far as we know) did nothing but walk by her and give her a smile. Of course, people will get angry and offended because it wasn’t just any person, but a CHILD.

Yes, Gaga may have made terrible mistakes in the past and she’ll probably do more in the future, but we’re comparing the way they treat other people and Gaga was never rude to anyone out of nowhere. You won’t find a single story of Gaga yelling or being rude with anyone, especially coming from service workers and / or fans who were in the same establishment as her, EXPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN, she’s nothing but nice, and that the only comparison can be made between them in this situation, so no, Gaga is not worse or even comparable to Chapel in this situation.

No matter who it is, it’s really bad optics to send a huge security guard to threaten a little girl. Most of the people in the world will be extremely offended when they see an adult bullying or intimidating a child, it would even be better if she herself said to the girl “Hey, I’m having my lunch and don’t wanna be disturbed”, but sending a huge male security guard to harass a little girl because she smiled passing by her in a restaurant they both were in? That’s horrible no matter who does it.

As someone said here earlier, most of the complaints and news about how she treats people are dumb and she’s right in a lot of times on these situations, but what happened today was way out of line for her and a terrible, extremely ofensive move from her.

Like I said, the situation still sucks. Her team could’ve handled it much better, but I still think the reaction doesn’t match her actions. People are acting like she’s killed their first born. Could she be nicer? Sure. But I don’t think anything she’s done warrants this witch hunt.

I also think you could criticize her without it getting weird, personal, or hyperbolic. Not saying that’s what you’re doing, but I’ve seen too many people in this thread make comments that are wildly inappropriate or weirdly vindictive in a way that’s not just “constructive criticism.”

Agreed, but she’s still choosing to engage with the problem instead of the solutions that would bring her more peace. This is part of the job and life she chose, sad as it may be. We all got something in our careers we despise but sadly have to find a workaround to make it bearable (not equating it to what she goes through tho, but same principle)

I agree with that. There's no reason to say she's "cosplaying lesbian" or "she can never be Gaga", etc.

She's crossed the line from demanding to be respected as a real human being (completely reasonable) into being entitled and rude, coming across as ungrateful for her fans and everything they've given her. If you get to perform for a living, make a very comfortable earning and live very comfortably, tour the world, live out your literal biggest dreams that you've been fighting for for years.. the very least you can do is take a quick, inconspicuous photo with a little girl who looks up to you. The security can just say "Chappel doesn't want to be recognised so she will come over and take a quick photo and leave"

Off topic, but if performing in US and other colonial countries such as France, the UK, the Netherlands is acceptable, then performing in Israel should be acceptable to.

 

 Never forget the **** the France and Portugal did to Africa. Or the way the UK looter the South Asia and left it to bleed. And these colonial power were the reason behind Israel boundry and stuff. Oh, and they still support Israel.

 

 So, Gaga or other artist performing in Israel is okay, as long as them performing in Texas and france is okay.

And the little girl allegedly didn't even ask for a photo, she just wanted to see if with was really Chappell or not, then smiled and walked back to her table.

my only impression of her is good luck, babe!, everything else is just her slamming or preaching to others. shes clearly let the fame go to her head, acts like shes some huge icon, but a couple of hit singles don't justify that diva behavior.

btw to anyone comparing her to gaga or calling her next lady gaga, youre dead wrong lol, gaga never been such a mean girl like CR.
