Like the red carpet was different to me and I support that, but standing and filming outside a restaurant and creating a scene is absurd.

Except they don't. Like, do you think misogyny doesn't exist? That there isn't a difference in response to women and men in the public eye, and that women  often get treated worse while men who do the same things get treated far better, and in some cases, aren't even punished.

The sheer cognitive dissonance here is astonishing. Y'all will whine and cry and say "She's too mean!" and "She needs to be nicer and more grateful," but then in the same breath accuse her of "cosplaying a lesbian" and "appropriating drag aesthetics"? Really? We've stooped so low as to invalidate her sexuality now? You guys wonder she has this attitude, but it's a no-brainer when she gets comments like this.

No, R Kelly being a predator was known, people made jokes about it constantly,  and Gaga even defended the decision of collabing with him at first, saying that her and Kelly both had untrue things said about them. 

 

I appreciate the rest of the message, but I don't think Gaga fans(me included) should use Gaga as an anchor point to bring down another artists whose actions are similar and/or tame to Gaga's.

I love both women at the end of the day and I loved the pictures of them together at the grammys.

I think Chappell rubs people the wrong way because she walks red carpets and attends award shows, events literally designed to attract attention (and behaves extremely provocatively when doing it), then gets mad when people pay attention. If you walk the Grammy's red carpet with a dress hanging from your nipples, people are going to recognise you in public. It's not great, but it's just the reality of the situation.

This part right here. If she doesn’t want to be around children, go to an adults only hotel. If you don’t want people walking by your table (because you will be recognized since you’re famous), as for a private room or a table in the back.

She was defending the collaboration when she still believed the allegations to be false. Still icky of her to follow through with the collab anyway with those rumors swirling around, but my bigger point is that I don't consider that kind of mistake/error in judgment to be comparable to willful, concentrated rudeness toward people.

I am glad you’re a fan of both women. We're both LMs & I ADORE “Good Luck, Babe” 😍 I genuinely hope Chappell continues to put out more great songs, even if she struggles with the day-to-day dynamics of fame. Or, if she eventually decides to quit, more power to her.
