William Orbit shades Stuart Price and says Madonna has been ignoring ROL 2

For a while now, Madonna has been teasing Confessions On A Dance Floor 2 — the sequel to her 2005 album — and buzz around it has only increased since caught her apparently filming a big scale music video earlier this month. Meanwhile William Orbit, the main producer and co-writer of Madonna's 1998 smash Ray Of Light, says she's been ignoring his proposals to make a Ray Of Light 2.

Orbit explained the ordeal in a wild Facebook post early this morning, saying that for 20 years, he's had "an album ready that is indeed the successor to ROL"

Orbit added that he has "absolute zero hard feelings" towards Madonna and that he "will always love that woman."

Gurll, they worked together again on MDNA and we all saw how that went. 

You can not create that kind of magic again after all those years.

Eh didn't he produce some of the worst songs on MDNA? I know Madonna was going for a different sound but still...

This is why I'm a bit worried about Madonna calling this new album COAD 2.0, we are all going to have crazy high expectations and we will probably be let down

Ngl, Orbit's been crashing out over Madonna for well over a year at this point. 
He looks bitter as ****. 

Definitely think he feels threatened by Stuart Price & the hype around COADF2 (which is rumoured to be titled Revelations on a Dancefloor) given the last time he worked with Madge ended so badly.

It's very hard to make sequel albums live up to what they did with the first one. I still have my doubts about all of this "Confessions 2" project she's doing with Stuart Price but it's dance music that can be done in a similar way. As for a "Ray of Light 2" I find it so hard to believe that they could pull that off, especially after the messy songs he did for MDNA.

I'm honestly very very surprised that he'd talk about this and if Madonna has listened to that and doesn't work on it then it's because she didn't like it. I'd love for this to be true and if they ever get together again to work on it it'd be a huge surprise if it's even 10% as good as the original Ray of Light.

but also she’s not going to try to make a part 2 of Ray Of Light… and she shouldn’t. I feel like Confessions isn’t put at a pedestal like ROL is by most people. Confessions is a great album that works specifically because of its production and I believe Stuart Price is perfectly able to replicate that level of production. Ray Of Light in other hand is a 10/10 thanks to its writing, vocals and production; and based on Madonna’s and Orbit’s recent work I can’t say they will be able to come close to what they accomplished in the past.

I have total faith in Stuart Price, he's an incredible producer. He also seems like a good lad.

That would be a great title.
