Diane Warren responds to record-breaking Oscars loss

"Golden" by  by fictional group Huntr/x  won Best Original Song at tonight's 98th Academy Awards. This year Warren was recognized for "Dear Me," the Kesha-sung ballad from Bess Kargman's documentary Diane Warren: Relentless. 

Warren breaks a tie with sound mixer Greg P. Russell. He was nominated 17 times, but his nod for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi was rescinded for a violation of campaigning rules in 2017 — he was found to have called members of the Sound Branch during the nominations period. So technically he has 16 nominations and no wins.

There’s always a breakout hit song that gets the Oscar and it’s hard to see her getting one of those at this stage of her career. Hopefully she has a song that has enough impact that the academy can justify finally giving it to her.

Yeah it's good but she obviously isn't making great songs nowadays. They're very formulaic and not in a fun way like Golden.

I don’t personally care for any song she’s ever been a part of and I believe her best music was decades ago. Glad she hasn’t given up though I guess

Damn shame that Til it Happens to you lost. In my opinion, it is one of the most moving Oscars performances in history.
