I’m glad ARTPOP is what it is, if it wasn’t for Gaga- Dance music wouldn’t have become so big, the DJ surge in the 2010s is purely because of Gaga reviving a whole genre and putting a pop spin on it. Can’t remember who it was but I remember a DJ who said if Gaga didn’t make TF - ARTPOP David Guetta, Calvin Harris etc wouldn’t have ever become a mainstream. Ironic that none of those DJs ever wanted to work with her too. i made this beat BECAUSE of ARTPOP for example, I imagined the synths from the first half of the album mixed into the second half of Maybem. If she was able do do politics in BTW she will certainly be able to do trip-hop with her campiness Some trip-hop have strong jazz elements too, so there’s is definitely a lot of possibilities, if she want to do her own jazz.
