HeavyCapiLover 4,389
My gaydar might not be 100% functional, but I know how to recognize a man when he is straight. Harry styles is not gay not even bi, and it's very easy to tell. The few times he performed some gay stuff like this, he never had any type of chemistry or connection, he's just acting. He could be the type of guy that has kissed another man on a drunk night or something, and maybe his openminded-ness made him say that he was kinda sexually fluid, but he is clearly straight. Also, him embrassing feminity by wearing dresses etc is just as performative, he never had the spice of a real effeminate man, and even less of a gay/bi man. Does she wear regular clothes when she's not expecting cameras but often dress up crazy when she has something to promote? Gaga was dressing crazy even when she wasn't promoting anything. And afaik has never leaned into styles associated with oppressed people. At the end of the day, Gaga has spent years doing work as an ally including her campaign to end Don't Ask Don't Tell. The only time Harry ever mentions anything about the LGBT community is when he's tip toeing around queerbaiting allegations. He doesn't speak as an ally, doesn't do any charity, won't even casually mention the community.

Gaga is very obviously queer, and also has explicitly stated her sexuality as bisexual on multiple occasions. She also (probably) had a lot of relations with women when her and Taylor were together because they were in an open relationship (probably with Tara it seems). Where as people like Harry have actively avoided saying their sexuality when questioned about it because they know the lack of mystery will stop some of their appeal. Artists like Gaga, Chappel, Doechii etc are explicit about their sexuality and are still massively successful. Straight men in particular fear the opinions of other straight people too much. As for fashion, Gaga has wore extravagant clothing even just to go for a coffee before, sure not ALL the time but more often than not she has. She also has personal style now like an all-black aesthetic Edited March 15 by gagzus

PEOPLE cannot queerbait, queerbaiting is target and other companies releasing their basic pride merch every year or trying to appeal to the LGBTQ community. Accusing people of queerbaiting only harms members of the community and reinforce society norms and expectations. One could argue being an artist is their "brand" or "product" but there's no way to actually prove that's what's actually happening, nor would it make much sense since Harry Styles main demographic has always been straight women lol Your argument fell flat as soon as you said people can’t queerbait. But you don’t care what anyone says as you stated so I won’t even waste the time beyond this call out Edited March 15 by heavymetalartpop

I don’t think it’s a widely known thing but yeah they had an open relationship because she was on tour for most of their relationship together. Back in the day we would get rumours of them splitting up because Taylor was out with girls when she was on tour but I think she did the same on tour. Petie Estie 5,643
Two straight men kissing to clap back at queerbaiting allegations. Straight men really are stupid. In the grand scheme of things I really don't care and it's overall good that two men can kiss and not care. But this was just so annoying for the moment I saw it. I think this is spot on. There’s this trend in activism now to believe everything a person says, despite all evidence to the contrary, just because they said it. We’re told we have to believe what people say about themselves. The problem with that is…spend literally ANY amount of time around other people and you’ll quickly see how often people lie or misstate things to alter how they are perceived. I truly don’t think you can just take everything people say at face value, especially when there is a marketing machine behind them.
