IT EVEN HAS THE PAUSE AT THE BEGINNING. AHHHH. THIS TAKES ME IMMEDIATELY BACK TO... omfg... this was almost 17 years ago.  This song leaked on October 2nd, 2009. I remember making a black lace Halloween costume based on the McQueen look at the VMAs and then a few weeks later felt so much elation seeing her do that Slim Jim thing again in the BR video.

Sorry. It's been a very long time since I heard the actually first leaked Bad Romance version and it just completely overtook me with memories and nostalgia.

whaaaat a time. i listen to it every couple of years and it's just nice to remember even these tags on the song. if anything, it's another element of it that reminds me of the time lol such a specific time in gaga lore and fandom ugh

Keep in mind, I was VERY VERY young when it leaked. I’ve been stanning Gaga practically for my whole life 😭😭😭😭

I still lowkey prefer the demo to the album version. That one feels so imposing and stringent and I LOVE the oh ooh oooh oh oh oh ooohs in the demo.

I also feel the same about the Alejandro demo. I love the grit vs the album version sounding like Ace of Base, but that's another tale for another time.
