And this is important, because Gaga's career largely driven by her large fanbase than GP, that some other artists has, such as Whitney, Adele or Celine Dion. This just goes to show most fans really don't want to spin this album, even after years of its initial release, which is unusual since Monsters usually have shift appreciation to an album that was initially divisive, ARTPOP is the biggest example. I never considered this perspective before, really astute insight. How you explain it though, I donât know why, but for some reason I could see the album experiencing its own resurgence in the foreseeable ⌠the fans might come back around to the album, but I feel like the GP might revisit or be reintroduced to the album as the larger Act III era emerges in the pop space (not disparaging, just sort of contextualizing pop music cultureâs anticipated rock revival under a conceptual umbrella). I think when popâs rock iterations and interpretations release and make their way through the mainstream, the GP might sense a disconnect with the material or just something lacking (the cosplay effect) ⌠all of that is to say, in hindsight, Joanne might emerge as a blueprint from the past on how to produce / perform what will be happening in pop present. Basically, when you clean slate any latent casual biases and listen to Joanne as its own work, it captures such a distinct liquid smoke electric feel that is so intrinsic to the genre genome ⌠and there is a grit, and there is genuine storytelling ⌠the cadence and flow on Diamond Heart, A-YO, John Wayne, Dancinâ in Circles, Perfect Illusion, and the unstructured technique that falls into its own instrumental texture, the songs and that sound might resonate better this time around ⌠I donât know I just feel like there might be something in that album that will somehow be a blueprint on how the forseeable future americana rock revival should have been approached from some pop performers ⌠ Was the album between ASIB & Chromatica or ARTPOP / Cheek to Cheek & ASIB? But yes, ARTPOP and Chromatica both served their purpose for the time they got released

I think itâs honestly the fact that the live versions are *so* much better than the studio versions (and that the back half of the album isnât as good as the front half) is why I donât find myself going back to the studio album as much. Yeah, I remember swinefest and feeling like ARTPOP was about to be a resurrection of electroclash and indie sleaze edm. Only for all of the bite to have been sanitised on the studio mix The gays know how to party
