Everything is framed as "Iran strikes doing xyz" and "reports the new ayatollah is injured" type stuff while "interviewing people on the ground" and it's only people who don't support the regime (which they make sure to always call "The Islamic Republic"). While they then also make careful effort to never alert people to what's happening in Israel or what is driving Israel towards these attacks. A lot of "The Israeli government says" statements. I don't support the repression ofc, but it's a staggering level of media skewing to basically omit what I'd say is probably 70% of the conversation going on around this war. The only lesson Iran is gonna learn from this is they won't be safe from Israel and the US randomly deciding to slaughter its people and kill their leaders until they also have nuclear weapons as a deterrent. I knew stupid people would take what I said as some sort of endorsement of Iran’s extremist regime and their extremist customs, but TO BE CLEAR, that is the smartest strategy for any country that chooses to go against western hegemony and business interests. Nowhere in my post do I prescribe who DESERVES to have nukes. It’s a matter of fact. They wouldn’t be in this situation if they had just ignored western pressure 10 years ago.
