Alvitr 1,430
Tbh, LG8 is her last chance for a real magnum opus. Either it will be Jazz, house and rnb, think DWUW but jazz influence, her original jazz record. or Phonk, bass, melodic dubstep + ZEDD, the act ii but trying to make it with the Gen z/Alpha and succeededs or She will go Triphop, Trance, Industrial, Rock, a dark version of ray of light, dark, shadowy sounds but with hope in the lyrics ( an opposite of Chromatica) her Beams of Darkness or she’ll go the P!nk route, and do family radio pop LG8 out Friday May 15th
bxr 1,043
it kind of feels like with where culture is, where the industry is, and where she is, and with the energy and momentum heading from mayhem into the new work, the elements are aligning to where she’s headed for a new level of “so impossibly not finished” territory with the next era … multidimensional, multimodal, possibly post-genre, vanguard vintage in a way … but/and it feels like now she’s better equipped to really articulate a concept that makes the multilayered creativity still lucid and magnetic to the marketplace … i think her approach as far as sound, scene / imagery, and story world might be experiential if not conventionally “experimental”

PartySick 168,177
Let's not forget how about half the people hated Mayhem on release and the album had to warm up to them Every album is gonna be like that I think. ¡Seguimos aquí!
Bronco 18,011
I don't think TDD & SoW are fair predictors of how the next era will do. Look at The Cure vs Stupid Love etc. Not really a straight up/down comparison. TDD had way too much build up time and realistically its clear it wouldn't have been released without the netflix tie in. Shape of a Woman we cant judge until its out. But in reality, its likely the same story as TDD. A Mayhem cutting room floor rescue that only got life because it was bought & paid for by a movie. I don't think either are predictors of the next era. Hell Disease didn't even accurately depict how Mayhem would do. RAMROD 113,695
She only get more metal by each eras If The Mayhem Ball is an indication, the get ready for full hard rock album for LG8 The Mayhem Ball lowkey is a rock opera, those who attended will understand this btw, did you get to go to the Minneao date, @ANVEEROY, I remember you were asking on a thread about seating chart (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ best of both worlds (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Auralegends 7,909
Although TDD is not that great of a song (it's ok), it is still played A LOT here on pop radio and it even went #1 on the Q Top 40 radio hitlist when she performed in Antwerp. SOAW doesn't sound bad to me. With Gaga you never know what LG8 will be. Even if she has a plan, it can drastically change into something different (LG5 -> Joanne for example)

gagzus 18,050
People complain every era it’s been this ways legit since TFM era, but I’m always open to surprises and Gaga almost never goes in the direction I expect her to go. Ive loved Mayhem because not only do I think it’s been her best album overall (a feat of topping BTW was never something I saw possible) but it’s the music I always wanted with all the disco and funk influences. Sure I was hoping her disco era would be something different but I’ve enjoyed the era it’s been the best to be a fan since 2011/2012 for me. I’m excited to see where she goes form here because she’s finally coming into her own, the album feels like an album only Gaga could pull off and the fact she’s having less trouble with her health is a god send honestly. I remember thinking after Joanne we’d never get a tour out of her again in the way she used to, or that she’d never make fun and dance music again. She also always has a habit of having music that I can relate to in my personal life, so since I’m starting a new chapter I suspect the next album will be absolutely nothing like she’s ever done before to reflect that. I hope I will be proved wrong, happily too, but the fear is very strong. I remember a huge hype over Chromatica when it was released amd I still don't understand the hate that appeared after MAYHEM release. It wasn't her ultimate power, but still have some very good, even great songs that aged well. Plus: why should we worry at all? We've got an amazing era, with great music, best tour ever and many more. Even if her next album won't be as successful, it will give some worth to her legacy in a way that doesn't have to be loved by literally everyone (it's not even possible with any album or song). I think she'll do just fine, even if it's not gonna be a huge mainstream success. Plus, she will have many many successful albums and good music. If you're afraid that her artistic resources are a bit lower now (what happens to every artist, especially after a bigger success) I am telling you that she'll always do her best to make people fall in love with her music. Even if there is a small chance of this song being her 2nd Shallow, I believe it may appeal to people, especially within the movie context IG: @bartoszprazuch
