PartySick 167,549
My taste: 1. Joanne 2. Mayhem 3. ARTPOP 4. Born This Way 5. The Fame 6. The Fame Monster 7. Chromatica What I believe is the objectively correct answer: 1. Mayhem 2. Born This Way 3. The Fame 4. The Fame Monster 5. Joanne 6. ARTPOP 7. Chromatica Joanne will always be my favorite girl but it's despite some of the album's production issues and the disjointed mental state she was in at the time. That's something that makes it more endearing to me personally but I can acknowledge it objectively hurts the quality of the product. There's a reason people often refer to BTW as her magnum opus. The production doesn't really do it for me most days but when 90% of people believe something, it's often true. Though I think Mayhem is the best collection of original music she's put out PERIOD. It's so well made truly, Mayhem and BTW are the real contenders for objective first and second place. TF/TFM make an immaculate debut album and responding sophomore album. They failed to hook me back in the day and I still like her newer work better but a classic is a classic. ARTPOP is that chaotic variable that's either someone's favorite or they can't stand it. It was the album that made me a stan and I still hold it in high regards but to call it "loud and messy" would not be inaccurate similar to Joanne, I love her despite her flaws. And Chromatica just sucks regardless souless, boring, flat, uninspired, devoid of originality or uniqueness, and it's missing that something that makes a Lady Gaga album a Lady Gaga album which is saying a lot 'cause even the jazz/traditional projects have that "something". Chromatica genuinely sounds like Gaga dissociating from her own work. Always a skip. ¡Seguimos aquí! 1

RochesterJoannster 3,755
1. Mayhem/Joanne/Born This Way 4. ARTPOP/The Fame Monster (they have the same ratio of songs I love/don’t love) 6. The Fame 7. Chromatica (I think Chromatica is a more well-made album than The Fame, but I like The Fame more for nostalgia. The Fame is The Singles and then whole sections of filler while Chromatica just isn’t my taste but has very few actual “bad” songs). RochesterJoannster 3,755
It’s interesting to me how the three “pink albums” tend to vary so much in placement for people! It’s three very vulnerable Gagas in three very different ways! ASIB really did act as a stone bridge that carried Gaga to her second career peak (commercially) in a way that her albums in that period did not. StrawberryBlond 15,193
1. Born This Way 2. Mayhem 3. The Fame Monster 4. Joanne 5. ARTPOP 6. Chromatica 7. The Fame I ordinarily would've put TFM at #2 but I ultimately think that over time, it maybe hasn't aged as well. At the time, I thought it was the best album ever and its ratio is good for its small amount of tracks but honestly, I barely listen to any of these songs anymore. But live versions, they're a different story, they always slap.
