I mean, yeah, ofc it would trigger instability, but I think a lot of people failed to consider the *scale* of the instability. Oil tankers were attacked by the Houthis after the US ran an op against them, but this is like 1973 level instability with upwards of 20M barrels in jeopardy every day until this is resolved and there’s no clear off-ramp. Trump clearly just thought killing the Ayatollah would collapse the state and now he has to deal with the consequences of being embroiled in what will likely be a massive regional or potentially global war.

god why cant we just leave the middle east alone 

havent we caused enough damage and instability over there - and our govt tries to brainwash us to think its justified, when its just going to cause even more deaths and harm.
