bim 724
I would’ve loved another video or two. A medley video like G.U.Y. could’ve been fun. Or even a short film video like Marry the Night. The official single part and charts I am indifferent about. I listen to the radio a good amount in the car and it’s not important to me to hear a new Gaga single on there. If I want Mayhem, I’ll connect to my phone and play it. Maybe it’s selfish, but I kind of like to gate keep Gaga to a degree. There are plenty of other ways I’d rather see her succeeding than having a #1 song on the Hot 100. It’s not often I even agree with the rankings anyway. 1

I think it’s the opposite lol They didn’t see Abra’s success coming and then they were like “okay, we can’t let an other song hide Abra”
Idefix1999 269
Some artists have reached a level where their name is enough to sell albums and tickets and a single is not necessarely needed to promote something. We had Die With A Smile and Abracadabra, which where huge hits and definitely reached people outside the fanbase. Disease and Dead Dance were alsoccute smaller hits. And we cannot be sure if Vanish Into You or How Bad Do You Want Me or any song that may(hem) have been made a single, would have performed well chartswise, as great songs as they are. It would made all the achievements we had during this era look less impressive if we attach a semi-successful single to the events or even something people would consider a flop. MACATL 1,872
Such a waste. The record company should be ashamed. Killer tour , killer album, a global hit single (no not DWAS), then they just let it die. This album had potential for multiple top 10 hits. With DWAS completely dominating, and Abracadabra having its own moment, why throw another song into the ring and potentially deter attention from the two songs actively thriving? They were probably apprehensive and didn't want to possibly disturb DWAS or Abra's trajectories. 。゚☁ glued up, sometimes it's too much ☁ ゚。
