I have the JFAD Soundtrack CD, but I just ordered it to complete my collection of Gaga CDs. I never listened it nor streamed it, even after I watched the film

Harlequin on the other side is on of my favourite Gaga projects ever!

So ASIB it is. There so many gems that are often overlooked: Before I Cry, Look What I Found, etc and Heal Me deserved to be a single or at least be performed somewhere live.

Ngl I’ve probably listened to Harlequin more times all the way thru than I have the ASIB album in its entirety, but as for Miss JFAD? I could see her walking down the street and I wouldn’t know a thing. Sorry to Miss FAD.

ASIB has some of her best songs, period. JFAD is an awful album cause it's literally just Harlequin, just with worse vocals. Also, I like the arrangements in Harlequin a lot more.

Gonna attempt to explain my vote for JFAD.

ASIB has better songs, but JFAD is a better soundtrack. The melancholy/haunting string arrangements really strike a chord in me, especially on FAD (song). It’s like a fever dream cabaret show. Her and Joaquin sound so gentle and vulnerable throughout. I love how you can hear her character much more clearly too. The whole album just makes me want to give a hug to anyone going through heartache or who has been outcast by society. It’s much tighter too. The ASIB soundtrack is a bit all over the place.

With better direction, JFAD would’ve dragged ASIB through the mud as a film too. As they are, JFAD is underrated/overly criticized, and ASIB is a bit overrated. I also liked her chemistry off screen with Joaquin more than I did with Bradley. 

Ultimately enjoy both for what they are though. Always Remember Us This Way is the best thing to come out of either of them.

ASIB has some very good moments but also some terrible songs. It's still good as a whole, a lot of good classic songs.

But JFAD does something more original. I love the dark and creepy arrangements, and the imperfect vocals, it fits the movie and the characters so well. Harlequin is good for the music. JFAD is good as a soundtrack, to tell a story and retranscribe the atmosphere of the movie. I love Gaga's Joker cover, but the movie's version gives me the chills. The whole soundtrack sounds a lot more unhinged.
