StrawberryBlond 15,184
What "old technology" is she referring to, though? Does she mean that taking drugs is an old-fashioned way to enjoy yourself and she prefers the simple things? As someone who's heavily into lyrics, I can't just bop to the beat and leave it at that, I have to know the intention behind lyrics. It makes me feel so old when I think I know all the modern terms and yet I don't know what some artists are singing about! I do like it and love the last minute of instrumental but I much prefer Beat Up Chanels and Crank the most. The other ones are ok but I can't fault the production on them all for sure. But I say that as someone who's only recently got into her with her new run of singles. I've only heard her first mixtape and Troubled Paradise before and didn't get it, so this is actually a very good review so far for someone like me. And bear in mind, years ago, I would've thought such music was just noise, so I've come a long way.

The old tech is literally old tech (ipods/tumblr etc). She's basing her sound and the album in that mid 00s to early 10s era. And critiquing trend culture.
