Monster647 419 Posted February 24 Share Posted February 24 I feel like there are 2 sides to this. Yes, going to concerts of heavily established/legacy artists is more difficult... On the other hand, I feel like indie/alt artists and genre acts that didn't get to tour extensively back in the day due to lack of demand gained much more visibility and are able to tour so much more these days thanks to leaner setups... You could practically see any new actively releasing artist with more than >100k monthly spotify streams live in beautiful intimate venues if you live in a big North American city these days. If you're open to discovery, I feel like this is a golden moment for live music at grassroots level... Some of my fav shows from recent years like this were: - The Marias (right after they released Submarine) - Royel Otis - L'Imperatrice - Squid - Lovejoy - 2hollis - Oklou - Artemas 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
