Brucie 11
I noticed at both the Tacoma dome and the Rose garden shows that there were alot of empty seats right before the show started... Then during Highway unicorn I looked up and they were magically full... I think it was just from people being in the lobby getting drinks and stuff. But it was definitely packed. I've seen a lot of concerts at the rose garden, and the only time i've seen it as packed as it was at TBTWB was at TMB.
hell0samuel 59
Exactly. Not only does the child get a ticket, so does mom, and they can't leave the younger sibling at home, so she gets one too. The child doesn't want to go alone, so she invites her bestfriend. The bestfriend's mom wants to be there, so she gets a ticket too. You've just sold 5 tickets, whereas Gaga's fans are 16-22, so they just get one for them and a friend. Also both Justin Bieber and Madonna have just released albums and done huge promo, whereas Gaga hasn't had a hit since 2011. The comparisons aren't fair at all. Rihanna can't even sellout an arena after a #1 album and single. Nor can she sell a bottle of perfume. Exactly. I think if you go to a concert you find most people busy buying food and merch before the show starts, not sitting in their seats bored to death. when i was at twickenham, the place had loads of empty seats 5 mins before she came on, she came on and i looked round and every seat was filled. people that have seats dont sit through the boring stuff, they just come in watch the show and leave. Blank Space 0
This isn't true, because many fans aren't refunding their tickets. A lot of them are choosing to keep them for memories of what could have been & for their respective events, such as the NYC frame-project that was done yesterday. This I would do the same If Lithuanian BTWBall date would got cancelled :)

Exactly. Here are pictures of the full Tacoma show from my mom's seats. Also the event manager told me the morning of the show there were only 90 tickets available, and they were expected to be sold after all the promo with the bus launch. Not the best photo but it shows how full the venue is
Redstreak 6,653
i posted this already and he said they moved people down. okay if your original photo was 6 mins before the start of the show, this is just as the show has started. how on earth in 6 mins can they get people up out of their seats in the upper levels down to the lower levels. by the time people have got up and picked up their bags etc.. or of course the people in the concourse area could have just come in after getting a drink... And you can still see people in the upper seats that they supposedly moved down. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
heavymlover 340
It wasn't a sold out leg, but it wasn't a flop either. I just watched the whole Montreal show and most of the seats from that picture are occupied.
Kalameet 4
And? Even with those numbers the tour was far from flopping. JB and Madonna just had higher numbers.
giskardsb 12,565
while it might not have packed as many people in as TMB, TBTWB certainly wasn't flopping. The arena's don't need to be 100% full to make a profit for Live Nation. Canceling the shows was a guaranteed loss, there is no way they would do that even if the arenas were only 50% full, but they were more like 75%-90% filled and that doesn't count tickets that would still have been sold. There were only 20 shows left. There is no logical financial reason with the amount of tickets sold that they would willingly take a bath and risk lawsuits by canceling the remaining shows. It's a stupid argument to say that it was anything other than what it really was... she had an injury, the shows had to stop.

We arrived 5 minutes before she came on because we were running late and people were still going to their seats and into GA when we were finding our seats. drinkmytears 2,332
Gaga's SOLDOUT show in Tacoma Looks just as full as photos from Bieber's concert. And when I was onstage and looked out into the crowd it was packed. There were some empty seats as there always are for the encore, some people don't realize there's an encore, or leave to get outta the lot fast, but it was soldout hun. You can see my endless arguments about this in the Soldout Shows thread.

gagaisitalian 3,573
I agree that the tour wasn't a complete success, but your picture is invalid considering that much of the people in those seats that you have circled have a bar right above their section and won't go to their seat until the concert actually happens. So in reality, most of those seats are actually filled during the concert.
