BTWB's North American leg would have been a flop

:fthis: :fthis: Don't mean to be rude

This wasn't the reason why she canceled the tour she got injured that's the reason.

It's stupid to compare BTWB to JB and Madonna' tour because Gaga was promoting 2 year old album giving it the fact that she was overexposed in 2011. Believe and MDNA came out in 2012 while BTW in 2011 and Gaga went on tour in 2013, of course the demand for JB and Madonna would be bigger with newer material to promote.

The picture was taken way before the show start, it was taking just before the opening acts to start and many people skip the opening acts (some even skip the entrance). Look at some picture during BR or Scheisse and then say was it flop or not.

And it's stupid to think that she would ever cancel her tour or effect her decision due to poor ticket sales. **** just happens all the time she hurt herself and now she is in recovering process after ARTPOP come out and she go to her 3rd WW tour then we will talk about flop or not.

I took this picture 6 minutes before the start of the show.

So why she sold only 13,650 tickets in a 17,000 seats capacity for stage configuration like that ? Numbers talk by themself.. Yes I'm also a Madonna fan but I admit she fkg flopped her too in Europe, so be a little objective please.

Flopped in Europe? :lmao: Bye!

I honestly can't believe this user hasn't been banned yet. Seems like every post he makes is putting Gaga down or disparaging TBTWB in some way.

Live Nation stated that a little less than 200,000 tickets will be refunded for the 21 canceled concerts.

That means that Gaga has sold an average of 9,500 tickets per concert in arenas which could contain an average between 13,000 and 15,000 seats.

Live Nation has also mentioned that the 21 canceled concerts have reported about $25 million, which represents an average of $1,19 million per concert, which is below the American leg's average concert gross of the Monster Ball Tour.

Let compare the Billboard's numbers for the first five concerts in North America with other pop artists.

Lady Gaga Justin Bieber

Tacoma Dome Tacome Dome

14,185 20,259

Lady Gaga Justin Bieber

Rose Garden Rose Garden

8,853 14,550

Lady Gaga Madonna

HP Pavilion HP Pavilion

11,465 25,907 (12,950 per show)

I also had the chance to attend the final concert of Gaga in Montreal, which was amazing. But here too, Gaga could not completely fill the arena.

According to the Journal de Montréal (Montreal's biggest newspaper), there was exactly 13,650 people at the concert at the Bell Centre. The Bell Centre is the biggest indoor arena in Canada and the second biggest in North America, it can easily hold 17,000 people in a stage configuration like Gaga.

Lady Gaga Justin Bieber Madonna

Bell Centre Bell Centre Bell Centre

13,650 15,870 16,918

(This is a picture I took at the Montreal's Bell Centre exactly at 9:12 pm, the show started 6 minutes later at 9:18 pm. You can easily see the empty red seats on the left and right. You can also notice the lack of people in the bottom of the Floor/General Admission.)

I wish to say that this post is not to disparage Gaga but I like to be objective and may also show a large part of the decision to cancel completely the rest of the tour.

The show hadn't started yet in that photo. It is likely people hadn't arrived yet, they were using the toilet, getting merch, food, etc. Its really ignorant of you to use a photo from before the show began.

As for the Tacoma Dome-I was at that show. It was packed. The reason Bieber sold more tickets was because more tickets were available. His stage was tiny. The way the venue works is all the seats are bleachers, they keep them behind the venue, and then depending on how much room the stage takes up they put the bleachers in the venue. There's no real seats, its just a huge circular building.

Also because Gaga had a GA floor they couldn't fill it with as many people, as GA floors can only hold so many people as there is a fear of fans being tramples. As you can also see, Gaga's stage is a hell of a lot bigger than the other artists.

The photo you posted with the GA floor not being full. I mean I think you're kind of stupid as you can lookup photos from the Monsterball and see the floor isn't full. They can't fill a floor, security and firstaid may need to get through. So ignorant. Also if you want to use the Tacoma Dome to get your point across, you could also say that Madonna played at a venue half the size in Seattle (the nearest city). Hm...Madonna was able to fill 2 nights at that venue but its still half the size. So lets assume 14,000 people were at the show in Tacoma and 20,000 people were at the Madonna show at Key Arena. That's 6,000 more people. Well at least half of those people were so blown away they bought tickets to the second show. So now only 3,000 more people went to see Madonna than Gaga. 3,000 people. That's 1,000 for every extra decade Madonna has been around for than Gaga. Madonna is 30 years into her career, yet she is only playing to 3,000 more people than Gaga.

:fail: every tour give different capacity for the arena or the stadium, her team choose whether to be 14,000 or 17K The BTWB stage was pretty big so it's filling a lot of space so maybe that's why they put lower capacity and btw you got your numbers wrong that was the official attendance MONTREAL, Bell Centre, 14,082/15,000 the capacity of the whole arena was 17K the 3K were the back seat where aren't on sale so the show was almost sold out around 95% isn't flop for me giving it the fact that she is promoting 2 years old material

This isn't true, because many fans aren't refunding their tickets. A lot of them are choosing to keep them for memories of what could have been & for their respective events, such as the NYC frame-project that was done yesterday.

This :Kara:

Justin Bieber ticket sales where higher because its usually like 5-15 year old girls going so that means there parents will buy a ticket and he did put and album out in 2012 so hes fresh same with Madonna she put an album out in 2012 at the show i went to it was at the US airways center their were at least 16,000 people there and the capacity was 18,000 also alot of people didn't get there until like maybe a minute before gaga came on

Hunny, do you know what a flop is? A flop is the MDNA album, not the MDNA tour. A flop is Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, etc, a flop isn't Lady Gaga or Madonna. If you want a flop go be a Jennifer Hudson fan, because the 2 women you are a fan of are far from flops and I doubt they would appreciate your negative attitude hunty.

pretty much everything in this post

i posted this already and he said they moved people down.

okay if your original photo was 6 mins before the start of the show, this is just as the show has started. how on earth in 6 mins can they get people up out of their seats in the upper levels down to the lower levels. by the time people have got up and picked up their bags etc..

or of course the people in the concourse area could have just come in after getting a drink...

Exactly. Not only does the child get a ticket, so does mom, and they can't leave the younger sibling at home, so she gets one too. The child doesn't want to go alone, so she invites her bestfriend. The bestfriend's mom wants to be there, so she gets a ticket too. You've just sold 5 tickets, whereas Gaga's fans are 16-22, so they just get one for them and a friend.

Also both Justin Bieber and Madonna have just released albums and done huge promo, whereas Gaga hasn't had a hit since 2011. The comparisons aren't fair at all. Rihanna can't even sellout an arena after a #1 album and single. Nor can she sell a bottle of perfume.

Exactly. I think if you go to a concert you find most people busy buying food and merch before the show starts, not sitting in their seats bored to death.
