Truly there should be some kind of study into why second generation immigrants so often turn on immigrants.

I think second generation immigrants tend to see themselves more as citizens than newcomers. It’s like the top vs. bottom culture, in a sense, top gays think bottoms are lesser cause in their heads they are less gay, second generation immigrants think they are less immigrant. Human are always finding a way to think other humans are lesser

Why is everyone upset with his statement? He’s telling the truth by giving an option 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you saying a state that commits extrajudicial killings on the street is a good place to live?

Are you saying you'd be happy to live in a country ran by an insidious child abuser?

Because that's what his opinion is.

No. What I'm saying is if someone chooses to go to a place where they do things "their" way, you have to accept that or make a different choice. In very black-and-white terms.

And what happens to the people born in a place to immigrant parents who didn't get a choice and are now put at risk?

Reminds me of one video I saw a day or two ago about human psychology and philosophy.

"What's a slaves biggest dream? It's not freedom, it is to have a slave for themselves"

Because once you identify yourself with a hierarchy, you only dream of moving up that hierarchy.

Well life isn’t in black and white terms even for the people claiming it is. They just want you to live by that standard while they flout it from morning to night

Nah. When you emigrate somewhere, there is a level of assimilation expected of you, but accepting injustices is never a part of that.

People also throw this BS line at natives, even those who aren't born to immigrant families who've moved to the new place.

If you live in America and you don't like it, you have every right to try to change it. That's democracy.

Our duty is to accept it is part of human nature and identify the traits in ourselves to not let them influence our behavior.

“Telling the truth” and he’s discouraging people from practicing their First Amendment rights and reinforcing an authoritarian nationalist ideology. Huh. Yeah, no, he’s being c*nt.

Nah, the premise of the US is that, if you’re a citizen, you have a say in the way the government and country are run insofar as what you want is consistent with the Constitution. Full stop.
