Lord Mayhem 2,764
I'd say so as she takes her vocal exercises seriously, matured, has years of experience, and had a classical training on how to control her sound and breathing

CBT was when she really started getting disciplined with her voice again and she’s been on a steady incline since then. ASIB’s vocals on the album and in the film are excellent, but the few live performances she did in that era were not stellar, imo. Yeah live there were some misses. Actually her voice sounded strained and she failed to hit notes properly on the Oscar Performance i think But i was talking about the album

The husky tone is a cool sound for her, but I like when she plays around with the timbre and cadence of her voice more (TMB, BTWB, MBT) and the vocals felt a little one note on the JWT for me for that reason. With the exception of Alejandro which that last belt

That Shallow performance with Bradley that went viral was in my opinion one of her worst vocal showcases. That led to Enigma and J&P where I think her voice was in its worst position for an extended period of time (at least up until like 2020). I was convinced she damaged her voice. Thankfully things got better starting with Westfield, although I don’t know how edited that performance was. Regardless, I’m SO glad she turned things around. She sounds so ****ing incredible lately. And something I don’t see mentioned a lot here is that she isn’t relying on vibrato nearly as much as she used to. Absolutely stellar Edited 7 hours ago by Lextyr97
Starmie25 20,865
I imagine leaving smoking behind contributed a lot to this new "vocal peak". I also suspect retiring Michael Beardan (aka her original musical director) 1

elsamars 6,164
What do we mean by peak? Every moment passes her voice changes, evolves and matures. Every moment is her peak. a wolf in sheep’s clothing is deadlier than an honest foe

MOT 3,434
I don't know if I'd call it a peak. Basically I think she has always sounded great apart from that period people have mentioned from 2019 through covid when she was st a low ebb personally and her singing suffered. She certainly sounds different now to how she sounded say 15 years ago, but (non-technically speaking) I would find it hard to say that I prefer either the old or the new voice. Love em both. LGAte 277
People do not understand the juggernaut of a hit Gaga has with LoveDrug. I don’t even think Gaga’s team understands the juggernaut of a hit they have with that song. it is the solo Die With a Smile. it seems basic but it’s actually an extremely addicting track with amazing replay value and it sounds timeless as **** and I don’t understand why it is so slept on. that song is the best produced song on Mayhem and could have come out in any decade and sound good. And it’s actually got really great lyrics. sometimes we over complicate it but Gaga would do well with Lovedrug as a cannon hit. It squeezes in nicely between her early pop dance ability and her mid career classic sensibilities. It’s like if Shallow, The Edge of Glory, and Just Dance had a threesome.
