Charli also has said she prefers being a more socialite person than a musician anyway. So she just likes being famous where as Gaga is the total opposite. I get all this context but I also somehow still really disagree. If there is any artist that makes sense for Gaga to work with it would be Charli XCX. Outside of Gaga since 2009, Charli is the only artist that has genuinely been a pop girl who is successful in the dance/electronic world in a mainstream way. They both politically align. They both are club kids/culture kids originally. Like....I sometimes feel like it's Charli's fans that can be a bit rude to Gaga (out of jealousy), and I would experience even some younger Gen Z gays who became obsessed with brat kind of digging at Gaga because they knew that brat kinda happened because Gaga literally laid the groundwork for hyper pop to be a thing in the queer community back when pre-ARTPOP/ARTPOP was tumblrized in 2012/2013/2014. 1 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Everyone is human and I think maybe Charli doesn’t vibe with Gaga because they never had a chance to hang out. If Gaga had met Charli ARTPOP era diff I think. I dunno. (Put aside all of the tasteless and embarrassing fashion choices, endorsement of drugs, smoking, etc. desperation to be the cool, "it" girl and so on). Gaga doesn't need to do that. They’re very different people, different circles, they just move differently these days. We still to get an interview with Gaga where she talks about what she thinks of recent projects in music that have made an impact, the only thing close to this that I can think of is how beautifully she expressed herself about Billie’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. Personally I would have gone for something from how I’m feeling now but that’s just me 🤷🏻♀️ in meaning up until 2016 Gaga wasn’t so isolated and was with friends out and about and bo etcshe hung out lots with “celebs…” I really liked brat but it’s not my fav Charli album. It was someone on Gaga’s team who did all the communications… I really don’t think Gaga had much or any genuine or desired involvement in dawn of flopmatica. I bet Gaga has never spoke to any of the people featured on that album tbh. and all that being said - I understand and agree with Charli tbh. Gaga’s name is on it, at the end of the day, so she really should have at least sent out the most basic of all emails to reach of the featured artists to thank them for their work and involvement.
