Even after reading the posts from X in the OP, I still don't get how this works. I can understand, that streaming numbers can be highly artificial and faked, but how do you fake sales? Like are they buying their own vinyl und CDs?

Even.biz is faking digital sales.
They faked over 50k digital sales for 21 Savage, Billboard later removed some of his sales.

J Cole is very very very popular, don’t underestimate music just because it’s not your preference. A large percentage of the world doesn’t lady Gaga but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she’s successful and comes out on top either way.

I keep saying this. People still have not moved on from 2010 internet and learned algorithms

They still think their perception of popularity must always be accurate :enigma:

That said, it does not shock me if this is true. I havent believed most numbers in some time. Some of the stream numbers we consistently see just seem way too high all the time

Am I really supposed to believe that he can pull off numbers higher than Beyonce/Sabrina/Gaga, almost that of The Weekend? He's irrelevant

Irrelevant omg thats far from the truth

Yes but also his Song Is featured in so many clips on the internet. Its almost impossible to not know at least that. Thats also a way to have popularity Beyond his fanbase, hip hop lovers and casual listeners

Yeah there’s absolutely no way J Cole is pulling more sales than someone like The Weeknd lol
