Ye I mean he's a very talented performer and has some great songs imo, but the rock world doesn't take him very seriously.

Exactly. Plus he won for a live cover (which was very good), not even his own work. 

Plus he won a rock grammy, not a broad category one. One specifically for his niche. Meanwhile there wasn't a rock track or album in ROTY/SOTY/AOTY. And no rock representation in Best New Artist. 

And the only rock performance in the main show was an Ozzy tribute which got fronted by Post Malone, not a rock vocalist. 

He does make it hard to like him lol

I only see this when I see him. 

 

I love rock music and not just the mainstream stuff. But sometimes the younger artists that are on major labels give me poser vibes. I was so impressed with his VMA performance and it a cute act and all pero like, he needs to calm down.

Isn’t pop music just whatever’s popular lol. Like if rock would be popular it would just be the “pop” version of it like how most hip hop these days is technically considered pop to hip hop heads.
