Anyway, nice interview with Gaga.

I mean, she can be way more fun and charming, but I guess he showed his true colors once he said "egg" :vegas:

Yes. She's not the white savior and thank god she'll never be.

even in 2020 she gave her Instagram to relevant organizations instead of trying to be a spokesperson

that's the way to do it instead of making the issues about herself like others to get some browny points on social media

i think she's trying to say as much as she can say based on what's in store for her next.  who knows - you may be kissing goodbye to the (alleged) world cup collab with abel if she's going all out

That would be the best as she would not be aligning herself with an organization that gave Trump a peace prize

Yes cause all Latino community needs right now is an American Italian white blonde leading their fight :brat:

Do you people even read what you post

So, to these posts I would like to remind the room that ICE is an arm of the American government led by a hostile American president and the two people (so far) that have been killed were (I believe) white American citizens and many of the victims of abduction and brutality are not Hispanic or Latino.

It's far from "a Hispanic/Latino issue", it's an American issue and as an American celebrity she has every right and obligation to speak out :bear:

This cannot be another case of "just let the affected people speak up and the rest of us will clap in the background" like much of BLM was.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a little placated by the "ice out" pin and that she's speaking so casually about it when prompted to. I'd still like her to do more but that's honestly just me putting what is potentially too much value in her actions and words.

I just don't like the "it's not her problem, she's white" narrative that could be spun from posts like this 'cause she's an American and it absolutely is her problem, same as it is all of our problem.

Oh yeah I missed the part where she said that on live TV in front of millions. I apologize.

dude her speech at the Mayhem Ball the other day went crazy viral and attracted national news. do you think there's anyone tuned into pop culture left who doesn't know how Gaga feels about ICE?

I don't understand why you're being so hard on her when she HAS been outspoken.

you can choose to be a leader too

It's crazy that even when she speaks up about ICE y'all find a way to still complain about it :lmao:

I know but Gaga clearly meant a leader to his community when she said that

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

That's true, she was going to speak if they gave her more time  + She has a contract with her label that she cannot speak about ICE on US soils + it is not exactly a right time for her to speak, the moment will come
