Any artist would kill to have one track from Mayhem on their album... No ROTY, SOTY, AOTY win despite having some of the biggest songs and albums of the past 15 years. When will she get her flowers? Awards do not make someone a "better" or "more accaimed" singer. While, yes, we can definitely mourn missed accolades, Gaga is incredibly successful and has received many, many flowers. She couldn’t have lost to better artists, in my opinion. Gaga has earned the respect not only of the public, but of her peers. Luther, for me, is such a bland and dull song (GNX has way stronger songs), and Wildflower shouldn't even be nominated and only was because of an eligibility loophole. The fact that Gaga fans enjoyed a dance/pop Gaga album didn't mean it was the best album ever made in history. Maybe as a fan base we can stop looking to Grammy's or Pitchfork for validation constantly and enjoy her music/shows which are clearly meant for us in the first instance rather than critics/the academy.
