LGAte 100
It seems like alot changed in 2025. I think when the year began met with the ill received Joker and lukewarm reception of Disease, Gaga's team went into Mayhem thinking she was probably going to take a break after the era. But then Abracadabra happened. And then Gagachella. And then SNL. And then Gagacabana. And then the album had legs. And then Die With A Smile broke records. And then Gaga started touring and fans made Vanish Into You a true moment.....and I think that changed everything. I never understood the notion that because a woman gets pregnant that she can't make any type of album she wants. Especially in 2026. Especially with a daredevil like Lady Gaga. And I think after Gaga was reinvigorated this year (and has already publicly stated she has written new music), it's safe to say we aren't going to have to "wait years for the next Gaga album". The cards all point to another album this year or next, and although I am not trying to overhype myself...I've been a Gaga fan since 2008 and Gaga does not openly say "I wrote new music during this tour" unless she plans on releasing it....SOON. Let's be real- she is on a roll here and there is no point in stopping it. And quite frankly...her not releasing another Mayhem single only makes me feel like that is because she intends on making room for a lead single soon anyway. We know she has something with The Weeknd. We know that Beyonce's act iii aint far....and we know she has been in the studio. So I think its okay to say and safe to assume we can kind of kick off the pre-LG8 rumor mill/hype train, right? All aboard! My question though is this, little managers: does Gaga lean more into Abracadabra/Die With A Smile pop lovability and score more hits under her belt while the iron is hot...or does she pull another swerve and release something truly edgy and boundary pushing? Is it time for her to finally release her own original jazz album? Is it time for her to something extremely electronic and atmospheric again? Maybe a new genre we didn't think of? Or do you want something that feels fun but meets in the middle? I also am considering that maybe she wants to put out an album and do a genre that she can perform while she is pregnant...so maybe....piano ballads? What do you think? I'm CRAVING to hear your thoughts!
gagzus 17,026
My personal thoughts are; when she does have a family she’ll take a TOURING break but she’ll probably still make music, maybe just not as often as we have had. At least until her child is big enough to come on tour with her and Michael like how Beyoncé takes her kids with her. People forget Beyoncé got pregnant and still made music and what not TWICE, she even performed heavily pregnant. I think she’s gone from writing from the perspective of wanting love or suffering from love to being happy with love and songs like Vanish Into You, LoveDrug, HBDUWM go with that. I feel like she’s going into a more “Pop music is fun” vibe and her future music will follow that. Even TDD was more in that direction, and having a family might make her want to leave a legacy different for her kids who knows. She herself even said in a magazine interview she knows people find her boring now compared to years ago but she’s happy, so I feel like she’ll go more into being serene, less public and more neutral in general. (Much to the dismay of a lot of people on this site it will seem, given their recent criticism of her not being so vocal or putting her safety on the line anymore) I feel like the next record is gonna be more fun and light Edited Friday at 04:41 AM by gagzus
Anderson123 40,369
I think she will always have a mix of several stuff on her albums which is something that fans have liked. Born This Way, ARTPOP and Mayhem are just pure chaos from start to finish and some of her most loved records because of this. I hope she continues to work with people she finds inspiration with. She’s at her best right now and seems like she wants to make a new album soon. I’m here for great surprises like Disease. It’s a sound I’ve been wanting to hear from her for like a decade now and if she goes a bit deeper there that would be amazing. A Trent Reznor produced album with Andrew Watt, Cirkut, Gesaffelstein would be killer. Fans also say they want her to do something “experimental” but the moment she does a Jewels N Drugs, Swine or Killah out of the box song they get scared. REALITY 78,481
Gaga's music has always been, and will always be, pop + something else. There are many different genres, artists, and aesthetics that make up "Lady Gaga," but at the end of the day, it is pop music. I feel like some monsters have an aversion to labeling her music as just "pop." They always have to qualify it as "experimental," "industrial," "dark," etc. And yes, Gaga's music is those things, but it is pop music to its core, and there's nothing wrong with simply liking pop music. It's like, they like pop music, but have to make it sound more interesting and deep Sonically, MAYHEM is her best record imo, and I've loved hearing her creative process for the album. It sounded very freeing, and it feels like the most authentic Gaga record because of that. She just created whatever she wanted and pulled in all kinds of inspirations from her past. She wasn't bound to a specific sound, and the record is better off because of it. Whatever she does next, I hope she follows that mindset. gagacabana 50
I hope she will finally write her own theater play (musical, definitely) which would be a new way of experimenting. And also write her own movie (musical or not), she's very passionate about directing creative vision, so she'd kill behind the cameras just as much as she kills in front of them. So yeah, i want her to go full against the tide, whether the direction leads to 18 minute long distorted guitar solos, or her brand new broadway show I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women

AVeryGagaHolyDick 28,197
I don’t think she’ll ever go full experimental and I’m more than fine with that. If anything, she can be experimental in the sphere of pop music Edited Friday at 01:04 PM by AVeryGagaHolyDick

Head Empty 25,768
I only know that not a single album ended up sounding the way we predicted. So I'm not expecting LG8 to break that streak. My only wish is that she starts writing about society again, and not 'just' her personal life. Her approach to those subjects is really unique and Born This Way was probably the last project where she put it in the forefront.

Every woman experiences pregnancy and parenting differently. beyonce putting out music and performing during pregnancy doesn’t mean gaga would or should too (especially considering they were/are at different life stages when having a child.) Gaga may not stop making music while having a kid, but she could also be making music every day at home without releasing them, and that’s fine too. Also, people forget that beyonce and jayz are a celebrity family. Given gaga and michael are more private about their relationship and family, it’s totally possible that she/they would step away from the spotlight for a while.
