They were probably thinking about the rioting during George Floyd/BLM protestors and hoping that they could somehow replicate that kind of mayhem that they could potentially pin on protestors, but it blew up in their face when the protestors remained civil and peaceful and the ICE agents were the ones committing crimes and executing civilians.

There's something poetic about that.

A black man is executed and the rage is so deep that it ended up causing some destruction.

But when the people in general are victimized, they stay defiantly peaceful.

Lemme not hop on my soapbox too much but I'm proud to share a country with the people standing up to ICE.

Seeing the way folks in MN showed up and hearing so many beautiful, compassionate speeches from every day Americans in Minneapolis truly filled my heart with pride, too. It’s nice to remember how many beautiful people live here, in spite of how loud the douchebags and fascists are lol.

Well one thing with Minnesota is that they had their fake excuse about fraud and Somalis. Minneapolis is also where Derek Chauvin was convicted for the murder of George Floyd, so maybe the city is seen as some sort of symbol. Bear in mind as well that Stephen Miller is supposedly the guy who is really behind the jackboot approach, and he is a white supremacist who believes in the Great Replacement Theory, and that in turn means that at the back of it all he is an idiot.

Noem says everything she has done has been at the direction of Trump and Miller.

And she'll be their fall guy for ICE's brutality. I truly will never understand why anyone does Trump's dirty work. He always stabs them in the back to protect himself. Every time.
