Britney is SICK, she is a person with a SERIOUS mental illness, which her release from conservatorship has only exacerbated. That's a hard truth that few are willing to admit. I understand that her fans are desperate for something like this to happen. I understand that it must be very difficult to accept that the star you have worshipped all your life (to whom you have possibly dedicated your life) is professionally dead while still alive. I think that part of her fandom is aware of this and knows that the only relevance they can give Britney is by concocting fake news stories that somehow put her in the spotlight. But as painful as it is to say, and even more so to admit, Britney is far from being able to get on stage, even if it's at a karaoke bar. I hope I'm wrong and that one day she'll be able to perform again, but nothing seems to indicate a better prognosis for the poor girl. Her mental issues were exacerbated by the forced Lithium and mental stays in early 2019, not the conservatorship release. I appreciate that you have a more positive look at this than most, but that is a dangerous thing to say just because it fuels the "go back to the conservatirship" bigotry. he/him/his

Of course, it's a multi-causal issue. And I wouldn't want to contribute to the narrative that Britney should return to conservatorship, of course. Was conservatorship bad? Definitely, but I don't think it's a coincidence that, since then, her general condition and the way she presents herself publicly have only gotten worse. We shouldn't romanticize the idea of a person being deprived of all care or regulation under a naive narrative of “liberation.” Possibly, within all the terribleness of the conservatorship, at least she could be more consistent with her medication. It's not about angels versus demons; it's a little more complex than that, as is often the case with anyone who has a psychiatric condition.

Britney is bipolar at least and if you read about lithium, it's basically the first line treatment. I've treated many bipolar patients and having poor insight into the illness and treatment adherence are the main problems with them. I feel for Britney but she's not ok and it's hard to admit

The only thing though is it is claimed that she was never bipolar, which is why the lithium thing was bad. Regardless though, she definitely is not doing the best which is unfortunate. I think the reason why she is not consistent with medication and therapy is because she has trauma associated with it, like with the forced lithium doses from and the therapist/psychiatrist that she hated. This situation all around is just really depressing. he/him/his

All while in recovery this entire time. The absolute GAG of the millennium! realistically, this wouldn’t be good for her in her current state. Praying for her, always. She’s too far gone esp with her current circle. She needs to stop with the thingy and start a proper lifestyle detox. Ronk 14,929
So sad this is probably not true. It would be great if Britney could experience something really positive in her life. So sad that her mental undoing was the fault of her own father who was so desperate to exploit his own daughter for money that he would stoop to anything to control her. Imagine how it felt to have her father work to find a way to put her in a conservatorship to get control of her money. I'm not surprised that she broke. And how it must feel for people to be blaming her while her father should be in prison for the damage he did to his daughter. Remember how great Britney was in her career before her father stepped in? Remember those awesome performances? I hope so much that she can find the strength to perform again or do anything that gives her happiness. I will not lose hope in her ability to overcome her problems. She's a good person in trouble and could use the support of those who care about her. I live outside the space time continuum.
