I'm sorry but Gaga is clearly disapointing in regards to social issues since a few years. The US descending into a fascist hell a but more everyday and she's just dead quiet. Like she just said "trans people matter" last year at the grammys and that's it. She used to be very loud regarding political and social issues back in the days, it got a point where she did an interview of Julian Assange in 2012 which was a very bold thing to do, considering he had betrayed the US intelligence. Now she's just doing nothing. And sending love to the LGBTQ community is NOT activism lol, she's always done that.

in the case of Gaga it's insane how many people are jumping at her demanding a performance from her like she has to fill a checkbox in her socials to take the pass lmao, because that's what this is all about here it seems, her social media, because she already expressed her disgust in the show, how do we even know she's doing nothing in her own circles of influence and reach? we just simply don't know yet, but knowing her character, she most probably is contributing in her privacy and choosing to not performing in her socials, waiting the right time to use her voice publicly, she hasn't made a public appearance in popular media which is where she often chooses to speak up, she's never particularly been a social media activist, she has always shown interest in contributing to the causes she cares about in more meaningful ways, these demands are indeed incredibly parasocial.

She is silent now as innocent peaceful protesters are shot at point blank range.

I truly believe that somehow Michael has something to do with her being silent. He is a powerful tech bro with lots of important and rich connections and I think he convinced her to keep a low profile during all the ****ing mess that has been this administration, from the genocide in Palestine to ICE and everything in between.

And to everyone that says she will wait for a Grammy speech to finally say something, you are being delusional. She NEVER waited for a ****ing thing to speak her mind on important subjects, screaming for gay rights in RUSSIA, posing the night of the 2016 election outside the ****ing T***p tower and countless many more things like these. She is on tour right now and she never said ONE political thing during any of her piano speeches, which giving the circumstances is very unlikely of her.

 

And last thing, if even Katy "I am buddy buddy with the Bezos" Perry is saying something and she is not it's utterly disappointing.

Her and Michael were together tho when she used her platform for the BLM movement and even before that she was using her connections to raise funds for Covid19. 

She even spoke about womens rights during "Angel Down" at Chromatica Ball film. Michael was her partner during that time too.

I wonder if maybe she is a bit frightened herself due to her own health and that potential threat during Copacabana?
