Ladle Ghoulash 53,996
Heather Cox Richardson is an esteemed American historian who teaches at Boston College. Her videos are amazing rundowns on current events and she does an excellent job of contextualizing current events within the broader scope of American history. I find her work to be very grounding and informative, so I hope y’all can find some clarity and comfort in this breakdown during these frightening times. MOT 3,614
Heather is the best of the best imo. I listen to her every Tuesday and Thursday and also to her Saturday conversations with her fellow historian buddy, Joanne, and to the regular interviews she conducts. It is rare for her to do a monologue outside of Tuesday and Thursday, but the Pretti case clearly moved her a lot Heather is always calm and rational, and she is completely devoted to accuracy, often stopping to correct herself if she thinks she has used a wrong word. There are no hysterics, no sound bites, no theatrics. I would recommend to anyone that they should listen to Heather. Hers is a voice of reason and sanity and no little comfort in these distressing times.
Magui 2,656
Oh.... she just made me cry at end. Very articulated and careful explained. At times I find my self in disbelief That something like this can happen to such a country. Somehow I got the US wrong... bombarded with movies, music , series, sports, books, etc, since little kids and got so very little about what's real there, that americans would elected such a vile man surround by even more vile people. Guess no county is immune to such dark times. Poor Minnesota state that have to suffer, watching their people being literally murder. RIP Alex. Hopefully someday, don't know when someone will pay hard for this. 3
