It's giving 22 y/o who watched Euphoria, 3 seasons of Skins UK, did mdma twice but threw up violently both times, then posting bestie stories the next morning about how crazy they were. Killa 18,613
Papa gangsta Is largely superior. By a huge margin. Since this Is not which song you enjoy the MOST, i'm appaled by the result.

For me, without the story and knowing why she used heavy auto-tune, etc. the song is less interesting on the surface. CSTH is just a full on vibe and that drunk rocker Gaga energy makes for a stellar song. I also think Marry the Night told the PG story much better. It’s almost like the rock star version of it, and I’m very biased about that side of her.

I appreciate that Gaga can do the y2k pop R&B schtick, but I’ll never view it as an essential ingredient in her sound. It’s ‘Gansta’ not ‘Gangster’ which was an intentional artistic choice and changes the whole energy of it for me. If it were genuinely ‘gangster’ I’d actually feel more inclined to the song. The same way CSTH gives you the ‘I watched Euphopia’ vibes, PG gives me ‘I may be a lil white gurl but I still have flava’ vibes lol

As I said as well, PG also just holds a lot of nostalgia for me, maybe CSTH will be that for young Gen Z as well once they enter their 30s (I'm also lk a sucker for Gaga's 2000s NY hood aesthetic haha) saving people, hunting things - the family business

Anderson123 41,837
Well I changed my mind after listening to these back to back. Paper Gangsta is truly an underrated track and they’re both great but Can’t Stop The High as fun as it is, sounds like she was just jamming in the studio doing an Alanis Morissette type of song that she could give to another artist.
