Maybe to an extent future family This makes me wonder if Ga goes to Bar Mitzvahs since Michael’s family is Jewish, especially since she’s come from a Catholic background. Cos Orthodox or Conservative, a formal conversion (giyur) is generally required for you to marry, as these branches do not recognize intermarriage. So if Michael and his fam are either of these two, Gaga will have to convert from Catholic to Judaism to be able to marry. Also, according to traditional Jewish law (Halakha), Jewish identity is matrilineal. So, if you do not convert, your children will not be considered Jewish by Orthodox or Conservative communities, this means their future children will not able to inherit riches from their dad and dad's side.
