Generally agnostic about collabs and actually think she’s got some great ones (Telephone, ROM, Shallow), but just think DWAS itself is pretty meh

I get what people like about it, but it’s just never really felt musically like a Gaga song (and, in terms of its inception, it isn’t primarily), it feels like Bruno feat. Gaga. A cute little number, but it’s success is a little wild to me ngl

Tbf Bruno does sing the bigger portion of the song and reportedly hes the one that started that song

 

So while officially on paper they are credited equally and its in Gagas album... in a way Gaga is in fact kind of a feature (with a little more share than a standard feature) but were just not calling it that

 

So im not surprised it sounds more like a Bruno song than a Gaga song cuz tho many of us dont like to admit it, it kinda is. But tbh, im not bothered by that. I love the song regardless and Gaga still had an important role in enhancing it (and making it as big a hit as it was)

I mean, it will only be The Weeknd’s song if he writes and performs the bulk of it like Bruno did with DWAS
